Once upon a time

A three-day opening celebration to mark the bicentenary of the birth of the Danish storyteller and poet Hans Christian Andersen.

Hans Christian Andersen brought us stories like The Princess and the Pea, Ugly Duckling and the famous, Emperor's New Clothes.

I am not really a fan of Hans, for which I prefer Aesop and Brothers Grimm. I am much more familiar with Cinderella (watched this with my then little cousin for almost everyday during my stay in Frankfurt), Sleeping Beauty, Red Riding Hood (I think I chose this story for a story-telling contest when I was about 8 or 9), Snow White ... not forgetting the 7 dwarfs, Rapunzel and Rumpelstiltskin.
